John Sweeney
John Sweeney is a Dublin based actor and writer.
John began acting at an early age in school doing plays like Greece and Oliver twist. After some years away, he returned to acting in 2013. He studied in the Gaiety School of Acting, and also attended Terry McMahon’s acclaimed acting courses.
A highly energetic actor, John is capable of playing dark or comedic characters. He has starred in numerous TV productions like ‘24 Hours to Kill’, ‘Irish Dumbest Criminals’ and ‘Gangland Ireland’.
John has many independent short films and several feature credits to his name including ‘Class A’; a gangland feature film directed by 'Red Room's Stephen Gaffney.
John co-wrote feature film ‘Thank You Come Again’ and short films ‘Behind Closed Doors’ and ‘Contractors’, both directed by Stephen Clarke Dunne.
